Kadayawan Festival 2026

Kadayawan is Davao City's grand thanksgiving festival, held in the third week of August to celebrate a bountiful harvest, the city's flowers and fruits, and the heritage of its eleven indigenous Lumad and Moro tribes.

The highlights are Indak-Indak sa Kadalanan — a street-dancing competition in vivid tribal costume — and the Pamulak, a parade of floats smothered in fruits, flowers, and orchids winding through the city.

Markets overflow with Davao produce, above all the famously pungent durian, plus mangosteen and pomelo. Tribal villages, rituals, and craft fairs spotlight the region's indigenous cultures.

Held across Davao City in the third week of August, centred on the parade routes through the downtown and parks. Book accommodation early — it is the city's biggest week of the year.
