About SNBP

SNBP (National Selection Based on Achievement) is Indonesia's merit-based university admission pathway. Students are evaluated based on academic records and portfolios — no written exam required. Each student can select up to 2 universities with 2 study programs each.

SNBP Quota by School Accreditation

The number of students a school can register depends on its accreditation tier (official SNPMB rules):

Unggul (A)
40%
Baik Sekali (B)
25%
Baik (C)
5%

* Percentage of the top 50% of students by GPA. Allocation is set by SNPMB, not individual schools.

Waiting for SNBP Results? Prepare for UTBK-SNBT!

SNBP 2026 results are announced March 31. While waiting, use the time to prepare for UTBK-SNBT (registration Mar 25 – Apr 7) as a backup plan. UTBK covers Scholastic Potential Test (TPS) and Literacy. Preparing for SNBT doesn't mean you're pessimistic — it's a smart strategy that many successful students follow.

Prayers Before the Announcement

Whatever the outcome, trust in God's plan. Here are prayers to recite before the announcement:

Prayer Before Viewing Results

رَبِّ اشْرَحْ لِي صَدْرِي وَيَسِّرْ لِي أَمْرِي

Rabbish-rahli shadri wa yassir li amri

My Lord, expand my chest and ease my affair.

Istikharah Prayer (Seeking the Best Choice)

Allahumma inni astakhiruka bi 'ilmika wa astaqdiruka bi qudratika wa as'aluka min fadhlika al-'azhim

O Allah, I seek Your guidance by virtue of Your knowledge, and I seek ability by virtue of Your power, and I ask You of Your great bounty.

Prayer for Beneficial Knowledge

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا وَعَمَلًا مُتَقَبَّلًا

Allahumma inni as'aluka 'ilman naafi'an wa rizqan thayyiban wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan

O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good provision, and accepted deeds.

Frequently Asked Questions

When are SNBP 2026 results announced?
SNBP 2026 results are scheduled for March 31, 2026. Results can be accessed through the SNPMB portal.
What are the SNBP requirements?
Students must be enrolled at a qualifying school, have excellent academic records (semesters 1-5 transcripts), and meet specific requirements for chosen study programs.
How many universities can I choose in SNBP?
Each student can select up to 2 universities with up to 2 study programs each (4 program choices total).
Is there an exam for SNBP?
No. SNBP is purely merit-based with no written exam. Evaluation is based on academic transcripts, portfolio, and achievements.
How do I check SNBP 2026 results?
Visit the official SNPMB portal at pengumuman-snbp.bppp.kemdikbud.go.id on announcement day. Log in using your NISN and SNPMB account password.
What is the official SNBP announcement website?
The official website is pengumuman-snbp.bppp.kemdikbud.go.id. Make sure to access the official SNPMB site, not third-party websites.
What should I do after seeing SNBP 2026 results?
If accepted, complete enrollment at your assigned university according to the schedule. If not accepted, you can still apply through UTBK-SNBT or independent admission pathways.
What is PDSS and how do I fill it in?
PDSS (Pangkalan Data Sekolah dan Siswa) is the school and student database where schools enter student grades and achievements. Students must verify their data at pdss.snpmb.bppp.kemdikbud.go.id. The PDSS entry window is January 5–26, 2026.
How do I create an SNPMB account?
Register at portal-snpmb.bppp.kemdikbud.go.id using your NISN and school NPSN. You will need an active email address and phone number. Account registration is open January 12 – February 18, 2026.
What is the SNBP quota per school?
The quota depends on school accreditation: A-accredited schools get 40% of eligible students, B gets 25%, and C gets 5%. Only the top 50% of students by GPA are eligible. The allocation is set by SNPMB, not individual schools.
What's the strategy for choosing SNBP programs?
You can pick up to 2 universities with 2 programs each (4 total choices). Place your target university as first choice and a safer option as second. Review passing grade data from previous years and consider choosing a university outside your province (cross-regional) for potentially better odds.
What's the difference between SNBP and SNBT?
SNBP is merit-based selection using academic transcripts and portfolios with no written exam. SNBT requires the UTBK computer-based test. SNBP 2026 results are announced March 31, while SNBT results come May 25. Students can apply to both pathways.

Beware of Admission Fraud

Common scam types:

  • ⚠Offers of "backdoor entry" or guaranteed admission through intermediaries.
  • ⚠Payment requests outside official university channels.
  • ⚠Fake social media accounts impersonating admission committees.
  • ⚠Registration links from domains that are not official university websites.

Use only official channels:

  • Official SNPMB: snpmb.bppp.kemdikbud.go.id

If you encounter suspected fraud, report it to the university or to the police via patrolisiber.id.
